## Short answer

- If a Hostinger coupon won't apply, the usual causes are another code already in the cart, a typo or trailing space, or an item that isn't eligible.
- An 'invalid coupon' error means the code wasn't accepted; a code that shows but doesn't change the price means the item isn't eligible.
- Coupons don't reduce renewals, standalone domains, add-ons or upgrades, and Hostinger allows only one code per order.
- Opening the cart in a private window or through a fresh referral link fixes stuck-cookie cases.

## Start with the symptom

Before you try fixes at random, look at the order summary on the right of the cart. What it shows tells you which half of this guide you need.

| What you see | What it means | Go to |
| --- | --- | --- |
| A discount line, and the total drops | It worked | Nothing to fix |
| An 'invalid coupon' style error | The code wasn't accepted | Causes 1, 2, 5, 6, 8 |
| The code name, but the price doesn't move | Accepted, but the item isn't eligible | Causes 3, 4, 7 |

## 1. Something else is already in the coupon field

Hostinger takes one code per order. Coupon extensions that auto-try codes often leave an expired one in place, and the cart keeps whichever was applied last. Remove it with the small × beside it, then apply the one you want.

## 2. A typo or a trailing space

Codes are matched exactly. Copy WEBHOST2026 instead of typing it, and check for a space at the end; phone keyboards love adding one. Even simpler, open Hostinger through a link on this site so there's nothing to type.

## 3. The item isn't eligible

Coupons are for hosting plans. They generally don't apply to:

- A domain bought by itself.
- Add-ons such as extra backups, priority support or an extra mailbox.
- The renewal of a plan you already have.
- An upgrade from one plan to another within the same subscription.

> From the bench: If your cart holds a plan and an add-on, the discount line will cover the plan only. That's working as designed, even though the total drops by less than you expected.

## 4. It's a renewal, not a new purchase

A cart opened from a renewal reminder email is a renewal order, and codes for new purchases won't reduce it. There are still legitimate ways to pay less at renewal time, which I cover in the [renewal price guide](https://www.savemores.store/guides/hostinger-renewal-price).

## 5. You're on a different country store

Hostinger runs separate stores per country, with their own prices and some of their own promotions. If the code fails on one, open the cart again through a link here, which goes to the store I tested on. Country-specific notes are under [coupon by country](https://www.savemores.store/hostinger-coupon#countries).

## 6. An old cart or cookie is stuck

A cart from an earlier visit can hang on to its previous discount. Open the link in a private window, or clear cookies for hostinger.com, and start again. This fixes more cases than it has any right to.

## 7. The term is too short

Some promotions only apply to longer terms, and monthly billing is often left out. Switch to 12, 24 or 48 months and watch whether the discount line appears.

## 8. The code has actually changed

Codes do get retired. WEBHOST2026 was last confirmed at a live checkout in October 2026, and that date only moves when I re-test. If you've worked through everything above and it still fails, [contact me](https://www.savemores.store/contact) and I'll test it again at a real cart.

## The quick checklist

If you just want the order to try things in:

1. Remove any other code from the cart.
2. Paste WEBHOST2026 with no spaces, or use the referral link instead.
3. Make sure the cart holds a new hosting plan, not a renewal, domain or add-on.
4. Pick a 12, 24 or 48-month term.
5. Retry in a private window.
6. Still failing? Report it.

> From the bench: Don't pay and hope to fix it afterwards. Codes can't be added to a paid order, and the only route back is a refund within 30 days and a fresh purchase.

## FAQ

### Why does Hostinger say my coupon is invalid?

Usually a typo, a trailing space, or another code already in the cart. Remove other codes, paste the code exactly and apply it again.

### The code applied but my price didn't change. Why?

The item isn't eligible, most often a renewal, a standalone domain or an add-on. Coupons lower the price of new hosting plans.

### Can I add a coupon after I've paid?

No. Hostinger doesn't apply codes to paid orders. Within 30 days you could request a refund and buy again with the code, but you'd lose any setup in between.

### Does the coupon work on monthly billing?

Often not. Many promotions exclude monthly billing, so switch to a 12, 24 or 48-month term and check the discount line again.
