The short answer
- 01Premium ($2.49/mo on 48 months) suits blogs, portfolios and small business sites, and is the right plan for most people.
- 02Business ($3.49/mo) adds daily backups, 200 GB NVMe storage and higher limits, which makes it the plan to start a WooCommerce store on.
- 03Cloud Startup ($7.99/mo) gives dedicated 2 CPU cores, 3 GB RAM, a dedicated IP and room for 300 websites.
- 04WEBHOST2026 takes an extra 20% off all three on 12, 24 and 48-month terms.
- 05You can upgrade in hPanel later without moving your site.
The three plans compared
Prices are the 48-month promotional rate per month, before tax. I've added the coupon row because that's what you'll actually pay on the intro term.
| What I compared | Premium | Business | Cloud Startup |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price (48 mo) | $2.49/mo | $3.49/mo | $7.99/mo |
| After the extra 20% coupon | About $1.99/mo | About $2.79/mo | About $6.39/mo |
| Websites | 100 | 100 | 300 |
| Storage | 100 GB SSD | 200 GB NVMe | 200 GB NVMe |
| Backups | Weekly | Daily | Daily |
| Resources | Shared | Shared, higher limits | Dedicated 2 CPU cores, 3 GB RAM |
| Dedicated IP | No | No | Yes |
| Free domain | First year | First year | First year |
| CDN | Included | Included | Included |
Premium is the default for good reason
Premium includes what a new site needs: a first-year domain, free email, the CDN, LiteSpeed caching and capacity for far more sites than most people will ever build. A blog or business site seeing a few thousand visitors a month sits on it without strain.
The gap is backups. They run weekly, so a Friday breakage could cost you several days of edits. A free backup plugin that copies to Google Drive fills that hole for nothing.
Business: when the site starts earning
For roughly a dollar a month more, Business adds three things that matter once money is involved: daily backups, faster NVMe storage and higher resource limits that hold up better under a traffic spike.
If you're opening a WooCommerce store, start here. Orders come in every day, and daily backups cap your worst-case loss at one day of them.
Cloud Startup: your own resources, no server admin
Cloud Startup reserves CPU cores and RAM for your account, so a noisy neighbor can't slow you down, and it adds a dedicated IP. You keep hPanel, and Hostinger still runs the server, so there's no Linux to learn.
It costs more than double Business. Move up only when you have a reason: hPanel shows you hitting resource limits, the store drags at peak times, or you're an agency with many client sites in one account.
Where a VPS fits
A VPS gives more control and more resources per dollar, but the server becomes your job. That's the right trade for developers running Node.js, Python or Docker apps. For WordPress sites with no developer looking after them, Cloud Startup is usually the better next step.

Four-year cost, not first-month cost
Here's the arithmetic. All three renew higher after the intro term, and 48 months keeps the promo price longest: about $119.52 up front for Premium, $167.52 for Business and $383.52 for Cloud Startup, before the coupon and tax.
If committing that long makes you uneasy, read 12 vs 24 vs 48 months first.
Who should pick which
Buy the smallest plan that covers what you're doing now. Upgrading in hPanel takes a few clicks and the site stays where it is, so there's no prize for buying ahead.
- Premium: blogs, portfolios and small business sites. Most people should stop here.
- Business: online stores, sites with steady traffic, and anyone who wants daily backups.
- Cloud Startup: busy stores, agencies with many client sites, and sites that keep hitting shared-hosting limits.
Questions people ask
Is Hostinger Premium enough for WordPress?
Yes, for most blogs and business sites. Move to Business when you start selling online or want daily backups.
What separates Hostinger Business from Cloud Startup?
Business is shared hosting with higher limits, while Cloud Startup gives your account dedicated CPU cores, RAM and a dedicated IP, so other sites on the server can't slow it down.
Can I upgrade my Hostinger plan later?
Yes. You can upgrade from hPanel at any time without moving the site, and you pay the difference for the rest of the term.
Does WEBHOST2026 work on all three plans?
Yes. It takes an extra 20% off Premium, Business and Cloud Startup on 12, 24 and 48-month terms.
Independent site, not Hostinger. Buy through my links and Hostinger pays me a referral fee; your price is the same or lower. How that works.
