Hostinger coupon for Kenya

The first thing Kenyan buyers ask is whether Hostinger takes M-Pesa. It doesn't: there's no Kenyan store and M-Pesa isn't on Hostinger's list. You pay in US dollars on the global store, by card, PayPal or crypto. Plenty of Kenyans pay with a virtual card linked to M-Pesa, and that counts as paying by card. WEBHOST2026 works the same here.

What it costs

Indicative USD before tax: Premium is $2.49/mo on 48 months, about $1.99/mo with WEBHOST2026. KVM 2 is $7.99/mo on 24 months. Your checkout converts to USD and adds any local tax. Full price list.

Paying from Kenya

  • Credit / debit / prepaid card

The global store lists Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover, JCB, DinersClub and Maestro. A virtual Visa or MasterCard funded from M-Pesa works the same as any other card, provided it allows foreign-currency online payments.

  • PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, AliPay

Listed under eWallets for the global store.

  • Crypto

    Listed for the global store.

M-Pesa and Airtel Money aren't on Hostinger's list, and there's no Kenyan shilling store. Hostinger can change this list, and the payment step you see is the one that counts.

Servers, tax and domains

Hostinger has no location in East Africa. Europe (France or Germany) and India are the nearest for web, cloud and VPS plans. Test from Nairobi if you can, and turn on the CDN either way.

Hostinger's pages describe no Kenya-specific tax, and its tax-compliant invoices cover only the EU and Northern Ireland, India and Indonesia. Its terms say tax follows the country on your account. For reference, Kenya's standard VAT rate is 16%; the order summary shows the actual total.

Kenyan .ke names are managed by KENIC through local registrars. I couldn't confirm Hostinger sells them; register locally if needed and point the domain at Hostinger.

Your customers can still pay with M-Pesa

Hostinger not accepting M-Pesa for your hosting bill is a separate thing from your website accepting M-Pesa from customers. A WooCommerce store can take M-Pesa through a payment gateway plugin, as long as you have the matching merchant account.

That's one reason Kenyan shops tend to suit WordPress: Business WordPress gives you WooCommerce, daily backups and room to add a local payment gateway. A builder store may not support Kenyan gateways. WooCommerce vs a website builder explains the trade-off.

Renewals, refunds and the coupon

  • Renewals are in dollars at the standard rate; plan for them when you choose the term.
  • Within 30 days of paying you can cancel hosting for a refund of the dollar amount. Domains are excluded.
  • One code per order: WEBHOST2026.

My tips for Kenya

  1. 1Have a card ready before you start: a bank Visa or MasterCard with online payments enabled, or a virtual card topped up from M-Pesa.
  2. 2Load enough dollars to cover the full upfront total; the term is charged in one go.
  3. 3Turn on the CDN, and choose Europe or India as the server location.

Questions people ask

Can I pay Hostinger with M-Pesa?

Not directly. M-Pesa isn't on Hostinger's list. Many Kenyans use a virtual Visa or MasterCard funded from M-Pesa, which works like any card. Whatever a help page says, the payment step for your own account is the real list, so look there before you count on any method.

Can I pay in Kenyan shillings?

No. There's no Kenyan store; the global store bills in US dollars.

Which Hostinger server is closest to Kenya?

Europe or India. There's no location in East Africa, so turn on the CDN to help visitors.

Why was my Kenyan card declined?

Usually because foreign-currency online payments are disabled, or the balance or limit is below the upfront total. Fix those with your bank, then retry.

Does WEBHOST2026 work from Kenya?

Yes. Confirm WEBHOST2026 appears in the order summary before paying.

Where these facts come from

Read on 2026-10-29. Hostinger can change these; the checkout is the final word.

Independent site, not Hostinger. Buy through my links and Hostinger pays me a referral fee; your price is the same or lower. How that works.
